Together, we have embraced the responsibility of raising awareness ahead of the upcoming Parliament elections in June 2024. Our commitment revolves around coordinating a diverse range of activities designed to foster a deeper understanding of politics and to underscore the significance of EU membership among young people.
We believe that the key to increasing voter turnout among Malta’s youth lies in enabling them to recognise the influence they wield as European citizens and offering them a clear understanding of both the significance of voting and the candidates they are voting for.
Our Council is planning a series of events intended to educate young people on various EU-related topics. These gatherings will encompass engaging debates that touch on the essence of European identity. We will also explore how Maltese identity aligns with our identity as Mediterranean islanders and assess the need for the EU to accommodate our distinctive characteristics.Collectively, these endeavours are aimed at empowering and educating our youth on pertinent issues and opportunities within the European context.
